Calling all New York City High School
Teachers and Students!
W!se is pleased to announce a social media video contest for the chance to win cash prizes!
Create a video about ONE of the following Financial Literacy topics:
- A “Point-of-View” video on how to resist the temptation to spend, spend, spend!
- “Healthy Financial Habit Challenge” – 3 tips for success on ONE of the following: a) budgeting, b) saving, c) investing, d) improving your FICO credit score?
- A public service announcement on the most important financial principle(s) your peers should follow.
Important Information:
- To be eligible: High Schools must be located in New York City.
- Videos should be between 45 seconds and 2 minutes.
- The contest will run from February 5 to March 25.
- Winners will be announced in early April.
- Students are encouraged to utilize social media filters, effects, and current trends in their videos.
- Please do not use copyrighted music.
- Videos can ONLY be submitted to W!se by teachers on behalf of their students.
- Students should provide their teachers with a URL link (TikTok, IG reels, YouTube shorts) or the original video file to submit on their behalf.
- Please use the official contest hashtag when posting on social media: #WiseFinLit
- Reminder: Teachers should upload consent forms at the time of submission for Contestants and all Participants under the age of 18 appearing in the video.
Prizes:
- First Place: $2,500
- Second Place: $1,500
- Third Place: $1,000
- Teachers representing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place students will receive $1,000, $750, and $500 respectively.
