2025 W!se Financial Literacy Video Contest

Calling all New York State High Schools!

Students create a video about ONE of the following Financial Literacy topics:

Make 3 financial promises to your future self and show how you will keep those promises.
Pretend you’re a personal finance high school teacher. Create a convincing lesson about ONE of the following:
- a) maintaining a budget,
- b) the good & the bad of credit,
- c) needs versus wants,
- OR d) investing wisely
Savings and investing are important to your financial goals. Create a video that explains the benefits and risks of both.

Important Information:

To be eligible: High Schools must be located in New York State.
Videos should be between 45 seconds and 2 minutes.
The contest will open on January 22, 2025 and close on April 6, 2025.
Students are encouraged to utilize social media filters, effects, and current trends in their videos.
Please do not use copyrighted music.
Videos can ONLY be submitted to W!se by teachers on behalf of their students.
Students should provide their teachers with a URL link (TikTok, IG reels, YouTube shorts) or the original video file to submit on their behalf.

Teachers, Contestants, and Participants all must accept the Contest Rules linked below.
Reminder: Teachers should upload consent forms at the time of submission for Contestants and all Participants under the age of 18 appearing in the video.
Principal Prize: In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the school that has the highest percentage of student submissions relative to total student enrollment at the school. All submissions must be complete in order to qualify.
