New York, NY – Working in Support of Education (W!se) is pleased to announce it has received an increased grant from Santander Bank.
The enhanced funding will allow W!se to broaden the reach of our Financial Literacy Certification Program in New York City high schools, equipping more students with essential personal finance skills. In addition, the grant will provide scholarships for participants in W!se’s Quality of Life INNOVATIONS (QLI) program and the Euro Challenge Competition, two initiatives that foster student innovation and research.

About The W!se Financial Literacy Certification (FLC) Program
Now in 49 states, FLC supports personal finance instruction in high schools. Participating schools teach personal finance and administer W!se’s Financial Literacy Certification Test. Students passing the Test become Certified Financially Literate™ (CFL), a nationally recognized credential.
About Quality of Life INNOVATIONS (QLI)
QLI is a unique social entrepreneurship initiative that fosters a spirit of civic engagement and social innovation among high school students, while helping them prepare for college. As an approved NYC Seal of Civic Readiness project, students identify a community issue they care about, conduct primary and secondary research to examine the issue and develop and implement feasible proposals for change.

The Euro Challenge is an economics and foreign policy competition that takes students out of the classroom and into the Euro Area. Students are challenged to investigate key economic issues in Euro Area countries and propose their policy recommendations in front of a panel of distinguished judges comprising of diplomats, economists, and high-level executives.
