Investors spend a lot of time worrying about the performance of their investments. Of course we should be worried if we are investing our money intelligently, but often we spend too much time thinking about how to invest our money instead of focusing on how much money we are investing.

It is far more valuable to increase your savings rate than to increase your rate of return. The more money you contribute to your investment fund or retirement accounts, the more you will have later, no matter how your individual investments perform.
