New York, NY – Working in Support of Education (W!se) is pleased to announce a new collaboration with nonprofit Khan Academy to expand access to high quality resources for educators and students that participate in W!se’s Financial Literacy Certification program. Khan Academy’s content rich curriculum and resources will enhance personal instruction and improve student readiness for W!se’s Financial Literacy Certification Test. The content includes 14 engaging student-focused units on key money management skills.
“Financial literacy is one of the most essential life skills,” said David Anderson, President & CEO, W!se. “By offering Khan Academy’s free resources in conjunction with our Certification Program, we’re making it easier for high school teachers of personal finance to access effective tools that will develop the financial literacy of their students.”
This collaboration highlights the strong commitment of both organizations to support high school financial education at a time when 30 states now require or will soon require their students to take a course on personal finance before graduation.
